Most Asian stir fried food is almost impossible to replicate exactly at home because of the high heat used in commercial kitchens under the WOK's.

Also dry aging beef as well.

A host of commercial food processes that most at home cooks don't have the equipment or facilities to replicate.

Again most being the operative word.

I would love to be able to make rice crackers. They are so expensive to buy and there is nothing in there but white rice and water.

Unfortunately, it is some sort of proprietary process and can't be done at home.

I can make almost anything gluten-free, but the cracker thing is still defeating me.

Carnitas. For such a simple food it is really hard to exactly replicate the carnitas I get at my favorite local place.

Philly cheesesteaks. In the midwest we don't have the rolls, skirt steak and trust me I've tried several types of steak cut thin and rolls doesn't come close.

Any type of pie crust, it's almost as evil as Christmas Lights and big azz orange extension cords...

That's funny, I can't make pie crust to save my life. i've watched my grandma make it a million times and copied everything she did, hers was always flaky and mine is like cardboard. Good thing they sell pie crust.

These are actually fairly easy to replicate at home.

I think that anything that someone makes for me tastes better than when I have to do the work. (I mean that seriously. It tastes different/better when I didn't have to lift a finger to make it happen.)
