I've enjoyed David Rio Tiger Spice chai for decades. It was my morning or mid afternoon treat. Their powdered mix incorporated dry milk so all you needed to do was heat a mug of water and spoon it in. One simple step and you were on your way to yum! I don't really drink anything just for caffeine so usually chose decaffeinated versions of various teas.

Due to some recent cardiac arrhythmia problems I've needed to pay more attention to caffeine. By sad coincidence, David Rio decided to discontinue their decaffeinated mix so I'm searching for an alternative. The only chai mixes I can get around here are not decaffeinated and require adding milk. Anyone know of a dry decaffeinated mix that doesn't?

Thanks!

Yep, I have. But, production stopped some time ago. Not sure whether its better to rip the Band Aid off and find an alternative sooner or later!

I experimented with that years ago. Way too much bother, time, and the results weren't very consistent.

A quick search of Amazon

Pacific Chai-Vanilla Decaf Chai

Big Train Chai Latte Mix 56 ounces

Oregon Chai has a decaf spiced black tea version of the concentrate! I don't know if they sell the powdered form. I drink their Sugar Free Concentrate so I'm partial to Oregon Chai~

I prefer spice over vanilla chais. Big Train doesn't seem to offer a decaf version. Oregon Chai was probably the first chai I drank years ago. I've searched for a powdered decaf version but haven't found it. If our two small local grocery stores don't stock something you'll be making a 100 mile round trip to reach another or mail ordering it. No way will I start ordering a liquid concentrate! For now I'll keep ordering David Rio decaf until Amazon's source runs out of stock.
