How do you cut your sandwich? Straight across creating two rectangles or corner to corner creating two triangles? That question was the subject of a story on NPR's Weekend Edition yesterday. Read or listen here: Rectangles Vs. Triangles: The Great Sandwich Debate : NPR
I realized that I generally cut my sandwiches straight across, mostly out of habit, and also they are easier to keep together if you've got some loose contents. But when eating out they are served cut into triangles. I'll agree with the story that triangles are prettier. And then they go on to discuss how a diagonal cut exposes more tasty sandwich innards. How do you cut your sandwich? Do you have an opinion

Triangles!
When you open them up and slide them to the edges of the plate you have more space in the middle for your fries, chips, or potatoes and gravy. Rectangles don't give you as much room.
And I cut mine in rectangles (usually) because Mama cut hers in triangles.
Depends on the bread, though, and what/who I'm serving. If I'm using rectangular bread, it's hard to cut into triangles. And the spouse likes triangles ... he can be such a little boy sometimes ... LOL
