MUST have rice when i eat fish (salmon, snapper, pollock etc)
fish with potatoes or pasta just won't do
Same here. Weird huh? I've said it here when trying to figure out what to cook.. "Well, we can't have fish. We have no rice."

For me it's lemon juice.

I'm that way too with bagels, but learned that my kids will eat them toasted and with cheese melted (cheddar or swiss or whatever we have) if there's no cream cheese. Not for me though.
It's not a MUST for me but I really really don't like to eat pancakes without peanut butter on them. Spread on when they are still hot so it is melty. Weird thing my ex-husband introduced me to years ago. If I had to choose peanut butter vs syrup I'd choose the peanut butter!
I cannot eat certain foods without pepper. I don't care one way or the other if there is salt or not but if we are out of pepper, certain things are just not worth the bother anymore.

I never thought about melting cheddar cheese on it! I may try that next time I run out of cream cheese.
I forgot to list pancakes and syrup too-- that's a biggie for me lol
