Not feeling well, so I had Avogolmono soup from the Greek place with a pita and for dessert baklava. Hubby had roast pork lo-mein and an eggroll from the Chinese place.

Chicken w/mushroom cream sauce, rice, and steamed veggies. By the time all was ready I no longer had an appetite. Hubby is kind of pissy because I did not eat. Sigh...
Tonight, I had some noodles that my neighbor gave me. She found out she was gluten intolerant, so I have been reaping the rewards, (sorry), of that diagnosis. One package of noodles that she gave me is those short, swirled kind..comes in different colors like orange and green, and it's supposed to have "1 Serving of Vegetables" in them. I have never eaten them before so I decided to try them.
So, I got some of those noodles boiling, tossed a can of tomato sauce, and sliced tomatoes in to a pan, got that boiling, cut up some pre-cooked sausage, threw that in to the sauce, and when it was all done, threw it all together.
It was the most disgusting thing I have eaten in a long time.
I washed the horrid noodle "vegetable" taste out of my mouth with two M&M cookies from the grocery deli and a glass of milk.

I know what you talking about. Try them again - maybe with some garlic infused butter, fresh parsley and a bit of parmesan. Also, they are great in a pasta salad.
I went to a drumming circle tonight. Met a really interesting man who used to play with Joe Morello, but I digress...
All that drumming made us hungry, so we hit my favourite pub for fried calamari with curry mayo, garden greens and apricot wheat beer.
