We are going to our granddaughters to celebrate little Jacksons first birthday. I think her husband is doing a cook out, probably burgers. There will be about 11 of us, including the 3 little kids. The best part, we don't have to do anything except enjoy watching the kids play and we will be able to drink our wine...

we will have marinated sirloin tips.. in bourbon-pepper marinade

garlic bread,

beef flavored veggies- beef gravy in blender, add spinach and broccolli/carrots . heat up in a bowl with cheese on top...
the beef flavoring overpowers the veggies and makes them palatable

Sweet and sour meatballs with white rice a green beans. Last night was pizza and red velvet cake for my oldest's 25 th birthday.

Again it is Hockey Night in Canada ! A friend is coming over and she will make for all of us Vegetable Sushi, no Sashimi but I did buy smoked eel we may use that too. To drink wine or beer. Last time I had Sushi was in boarding school.
