I love Fall and especially look forward to soups. Thought it would be good to hear some ideas for Fall foods that people enjoy.

I will start - Jamie's Minestrone on Allrecipes - I have been making this recipe for years now and it is my absolute favorite soup. I tweak the ingredients slightly (definitely reduced the amount of zucchini), and add chicken sausage, but if you like a soup filled with veggies, this is a great one.

Chili
Potato soup

I'm not a big apple and pumpkin fan so I pass on many of the traditional fall foods.

OMG, that sounds so good.

We had Blakes chicken pot pie tonight because it's fall. Tomorrow I'm making chile in the crockpot.

For fall:

- Beef Stew
- Yellow Chicken Curry and Potatoes (either Japanese style, or Thai style, spicy and great for fall nights)
- Beef Chili
- Potato soup with beef
- Hearty vegetable soup
- Pot roast (beef)

Roasted root vegetables.
Winter squash, baked with butter and a dab of orange marmalade.
Fall is also when I break out my crock pot and make all manner of healthy stew.

I generally cook the same main dishes year-round, but I can tell fall is coming when I start getting the urge to swap out our usual nightly salad for some homemade soup. I made tomato soup in my crockpot last weekend for the first time since summer, and it was divine.
