Not so sure, the last Chinese buffet I went to had French fries, fried dough rolled in sugar, and some very odd glutinous substance we called it,"Ba in Sa", it looked like pork testicles...in a sauce, no kidding.

Since then, I have decided to just forgo all Chinese buffets.

How is chocolate pudding Chinese? The dessert section had a variety of pudding, gelatins, ice cream, and cookies. It was very odd.

There used to be a Chinese buffet here in Dallas that served AYCE (all you can eat) snow crab legs! I never bothered with anything else! Now, I go for crab rangoon, veggie lo mein, fried rice and won ton soup....and spring rolls.

It has been many years since I visited a Chinese buffet, but I seem to recall zeroing in on the fried pork dumplings first! I love those little pillows of goodness!!

Usually:

1/ Dumplings (I add Tabasco or Sriracha sauce, of course!)
2/ Kung Pao Chicken
3/ Stir fried chicken with mushrooms (moo goo gai pan)
4/ Char Siu (BBQ Pork)
5/ Egg rolls
6/ Peking duck
7/ Roast duck
8/ Chicken Chow Mein

After that, a nap!!!

Mussels, fried rice and hot and sour soup, here. I'm a sucker for mussels. I found them at the local asian/Latino market the other day. Made me a sauce of oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and a few cloves of fresh minced garlic; then thickened it with some corn starch. I cooked the mussels in hat for about 5 minutes. Then I tore them out of the shells and then cooked some shredded veggies in the sauce. Poured it all together, gave it a mix over the burner. Ate them with the sauce over some rice.

YUM>

Looked like this, minus the jalapenos and the sauce was a tad bit thinner.

I don't eat at buffets anymore - but IF I did, it would be General Tsao chicken. Horribly unhealthy...but oh so good.
