I have had my extra-large Euro Pro toaster oven for about 8 years and it is still going strong. I use it every day and have baked cakes and bread in it. I got it at Target but I don't even know if they sell them any more. It does get very hot on top and I have padding underneath and it sits on an old table. I have baked, broiled, and grilled in it and everything comes out perfect as long as you lower the temp by 25 degrees.

I have a Cuisinart like this: Amazon.com: Cuisinart TOB-155 Toaster Oven Broiler, Stainless/Black: Home & Kitchen

It has a convection setting, too. I have had it for at least 6 years with no problems. I use it a lot in the summer.

I picked up a small B&D at a yard sale for 5$. the best 5$ I ever spent. It was in great shape...like new.

I make muffins, cornbread, bisquits, roasted chicken, potatoes, toasted breads, and cookies without heating the whole house.

Love it.

I bought an inexpensive B&D toaster oven and I love it -- I'm always using it for frozen pizza or leftover hoagies (making them into grinders). One thing that I really like is that all operations are on a timer, whether toasting or baking. So there's no way I can accidentally leave it on for way longer than it should be.

It does make good toast, BUT, it takes FOREVER!!! Now I'm looking for a cheap pop-up toaster, since I keep all of my bread in the freezer and am constantly toasting it for sandwiches.
