I cannot eat heavy meats (steak, chicken fried steak or ham) in the morning. A small serving of sausage or bacon is good.

I've only really had this tested once when my ex-wife took a loaf of frozen garlic bread and made french toast out of it. That was awful and I wouldn't eat it again.

But if there's anything I would eat, I'm just as fine eating it for breakfast as at any other meal. As long as it doesn't mess up the taste of my coffee.

I once watched with fascination, a man, eat a stack of pancakes, chicken fried steak, smothered with sausage gravy, biscuits, a half pound of bacon, four eggs, and toast, with milk, juice, and coffee.

It was nauseating. And I did not even eat it.

Cereal, pancakes, waffles, donuts, french toast...anything high carb and sweet/starchy. It sends my blood sugar plummeting by mid morning, and I feel AWFUL.

I'm not much of a breakfast eater, but when I do I opt for high protein - any kind of meat, cheese, eggs, etc. If we go out to a breakfast buffet, I'll have steak (if available) and eggs, ham and eggs, omelets, etc.

I LOVE chicken and waffles - for dinner.

Default Cake

When I was working, we frequently had promotion cakes for the military members before the official duty start time of 0730, so about 0700. This was always a heavily frosted and decorated sheet cake . I had to help serve, of course, but couldn't eat any--yuck.

I'm not a cut fruit in the morning type, especially citrus and pineapple.

I'll put fruit in something in the morning, or have a smoothie, but not just cut fruit.

Bananas are an exception.

Everything is pretty much fair game. I have even been known to dine on the leftovers from Christmas or Thanksgiving dinner for breakfast the day after. Cornbread dressing, gravy...roast turkey...tamales..no problem.

This from a former breakfast skipper! SMH at myself!

If I try to eat an apple in the morning, it makes me nauseous. Cooked apples would be fine, but the fresh ones make me sick to my stomach before noon.
