A good Wendy's burger is quite tasty. But a not good one is that much worse. DH and I were talking about that the other day. I have high hopes for a Wendy's burger (from years of good quality) but I've been disappointed the last few times. Which is different than McD's. McD's doesn't have great burgers but they are pretty consistently bland enough that I don't expect "great" so I'm rarely disappointed.
In my opinion, Wendy's is higher quality than McDonalds. Their meat actually taste like meat. The also have various side dishes that are very tasty. I prefer Wendy's.
Microwaveable burgers from Costco are competitive with the food you get at McDonald's and BK. Comparable in taste and cheaper. Wendy's a little better. It's getting to the point that it's going to cost 30-40 dollars for a family of four to eat at a fast food or takeout joint. At 5Guys, a regular burger, fries, and coke sets you back $8.50. On top of that, everyone in the preparation area stares at each customer to see if they feed the tip jar. (I usually put in a buck.)
Absolutely, Wendys quality of food has change for the worst. When the quantity of food has diminshed is one thing but when you mess with the quality of what use to be it is a totally different story. I am sitting here at a wendy's rest. In the Bronx N.Y. and I can say the cheese on my baked potato is definetly watered down.
I think that they used to be much better. Now, for FF, I look for Chik Fil A, always consistently good.
