Our romantic meal we always considered ..a simple yet chic set table with flowers and a few lit candles, nice background music of Il Divo ,a fire place and to eat Smoked Salmon,Caviar Pie and thin sliced toast and Champagne. For dessert a home baked apple strudel with vanilla ice cream.Other times it is just a picnic in the hills with a terrific view,a basket filled with assortment of cheeses,French baguette, grapes, pastry and non alcoholic bubbly drinks all set up on a tablecloth.

Asparagus stuffed chicken breast with a creamy white sauce, wild rice and sauteed spinach with pine nuts. Fresh fruit with almond whipped cream for dessert.

Thank you for the ideas - DH has and will be out for a couple of days. Let's see what I can come up with. No brie, fruit, salmon ...
