That "ice cream" isn't even close. Ice cream needs 10% milkfat. That has less than 5% milkfat. They could call it a "light ice cream" if they wanted to.

Breyers used to be really good ice cream. I stopped buying it after the size of the package shrunk so much. Looks like another product chock full of corn syrup and chemicals now.

I remember whey Breyers was actually good. I used to get their vanilla bean all the time. One day I bought it not realizing they changed the recipe and thought there was something wrong with it. Sure enough, looked on the label and they changed it to a gum ice desert or whatever that is. I feel there is only one "ice cream" left and that is Häagen-Dazs. It is the last to survive. The rest of them just use stuff to make it seem like ice cream. Why buy that if you can actually have what it is supposed to be. Oh and Ben and Jerry's is smoke and mirrors. Fancy label, high price for garbage. Just for the sugar people, not for people who actually like ice cream.

Yet another item I have to make from scratch because large food makers have to cut as many corners as possible in order to marginally increase their bottom line for stock investors. The kitchen aid attachment makes it very easy to make your own ice cream. Great for something to do on the weekend. You can control your portions of sugar as well. A batch can Also last two weeks at least.

I like Haagen Dazs' natural ice cream. Especially the lemon one. Aside from that, supermarket ice cream has always been a bit "blah" to me.

I like Coaticook Ice Cream......real milk and cream, not "modified milk solids".
It's fabulous.
