I never baked meatballs ,only fried them, or put them in a pot and let them slowly cook in the pasta sauce,or in my tomato goulash til they were ready. Now you gave me an idea..once you bake them you can also freeze them . Thank you for the great idea. Never thought of it

Yes we do that a lot .I flavor my meatballs ,roll them to desired size and lay them in the tomato goulash sauce and let them slowly cook on simmer til done..divine and very flavorful For me it is knew to hear you can bake them but I am grateful for what I learn here
I have always fried them, but i might bake them this time.
The latest is to bake them, but I am just too old fashion: I brown them on the stove and then put them is whatever sauce I am using. yesterday it was the pasta tomato sauce, today it was the Asian sauce for cocktail balls on Thanksgiving.

I freeze them anyway. If I do that I cook them on the stove a little longer or still, after browning them, put them in a sauce and cook them for awhile. Then I freeze them.

What, you never heard of that. I can't imagine not doing it that way. I learned from my dad and some other great cooks. They always browned them and added them to whatever sauce they were making. Are you saying you cook them some other way for Spaghetti and meat balls?
