I never baked meatballs ,only fried them, or put them in a pot and let them slowly cook in the pasta sauce,or in my tomato goulash til they were ready. Now you gave me an idea..once you bake them you can also freeze them . Thank you for the great idea. Never thought of it

I brown them in a pan on high heat first, then add them to a pot and slow cook them in sauce, usually.

I usually bake them - they get browned all the way around without my standing over a hot stove turning them.

I always bake them. I also use a cookie scoop to shape them.

The latest is to bake them, but I am just too old fashion: I brown them on the stove and then put them is whatever sauce I am using. yesterday it was the pasta tomato sauce, today it was the Asian sauce for cocktail balls on Thanksgiving.

I freeze them anyway. If I do that I cook them on the stove a little longer or still, after browning them, put them in a sauce and cook them for awhile. Then I freeze them.

What, you never heard of that. I can't imagine not doing it that way. I learned from my dad and some other great cooks. They always browned them and added them to whatever sauce they were making. Are you saying you cook them some other way for Spaghetti and meat balls?
