This morning I woke up only to find that apple pie I bought yesterday sat on the counter unopened. [SCREAMS]Santa you forgot about me again. I sent a FB message, a DM on twitter, and send my letter via USPS. Maybe we can try texting next year [/SCREAMS]

Breakfast - Belgian waffles with eggs
Snack 1 - Crackers, Cheese, fruit
Snack 2 - Guacamole and chips (I decided this as I was typing)
Dinner - Main course (TBD-I forgot to defrost something and it's not looking good). Dessert - I'll definitely have pie + ice cream--that is certain!!

A late lunch out at a Mexican restaurant for our Xmas. Oddly, both our Chinese and Indian eatery options are closed for the holiday, whereas the Mexican place, where a goodly percentage of the staff are Latino and therefore most likely of the Christian faith if anything, is open.

Because they opened their gifts on Christmas Eve and attended Midnight Mass.

Christmas Eve we had toasted ravioli, crab cakes, shrimp cocktail, pigs in a blanket, and a cheese and cracker platter with assorted meats. Christmas Day we had roast turkey, spiraled ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, stuffing, gravy, and crescent rolls....off course spiked egg nog too!

I want this!

Christmas dinner is:

Pot roast
Mashed potatoes and gravy
Greens
Blackeyed peas and okra
Corn bread
Deviled eggs
Juice, punch, soda, and tea

Somehow we missed on dessert. I thought that I had everything that I needed but didn't. So tomorrow I will whip up a few make up desserts. I remember a time when I could order pizza and such on Christmas if I wanted to. Now it's like it was when I was growing up. Everything is closed so I couldn't purchase the items that I needed to complete desserts. Glad to see service workers enjoying the day with family.

Happy Holidays!
