Tonight we have turmeric fried fish with rice and a green salad and lemon water. For dessert 1/2 a pink grapefruit (they are still on sale and so juicy..we love our grapefruit )
1 egg
1 tbsp water
2 tbsp turmeric
2 tbsp wholewheat flour
sea salt to taste
1/4 tsp white pepper
1 lb cod fillet ( or halibut)
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp grape seed oil

Beat the egg in a bowl with 1 tsp water. In a separate bowl mix together turmeric, wholewheat flour, sea salt, white pepper.Roll fish first in egg and than in turmeric/flour mixture til well coated. In a heated frying pan add oil and butter and add right away fish.Cook for 3 minutes and turn over to brown for another 3 minutes. We always lay fish on a paper towel to absorb the extra fat.

Difficult houseguest is gone. Difficult for me but always welcome.

Short pasta with lots of onion/bell pepper/garlic and olive oil, chicken breast (BBQ or stir fry?), two bite sized pecan pies (left overs), merlot or whatever SO finds. Snuggle dinner with legs up, old movie, fire place, maybe a cat or two for company. 40 minutes hot tub instead of appetizers.

BTW - Armetale platters make great chargers. Heat them and plates will stay warm. Do no forget coasters.

Bummer! Try baking them in a low oven or toaster oven.

We are having Whoppers and French fries tonight.
