I made a new (to me) recipe. Unstuffed cabbage. You take some ground turkey and chopped onions and garlic, saute them. Add chopped cabbage and tomato sauce, maybe some diced tomatoes, salt and pepper and cook for about 20 minutes. Zero carbs if you're counting carbs and really good.

got back from our 2 week cruise at 11pm Friday night and I get to have the family over for mothers day dinner today. There will be 13 of us: Actually I am only doing the ham and turkey plus veggies. The kids are bringing salads, dessert and appetizers.

Happy mom's day to everyone who is a mom and to the dads that made it possible for us to be moms.

I'm not a mom (yet), so I get to cook today.

Tostadas with refried beans, romaine, crema, and two fresh taco sauces I picked up at El Rancho today (spicy light red and green avocado varieties).

Jalapeno deviled eggs

Last night I fixed up a chicken tamale pie. Tonight, it's beef rouladen and green beans, fresh local strawberries for dessert.

That sounds tasty! I will have to keep the recipe in mind - summer is coming and cabbage will be a garden item.
