In the early 90s we got a new restaurant in town, a Hawaiian one. They served macaroni salad, and I thought wth, that's not Hawaiian?! Then I went to HI in 1996 and found out it's more common than fries are on the mainland! I also found out then that Hawaii is the center of the Spam universe.

Many of us born and raised in Hawaii like Spam, mac salad and mayo in general. It might be hard to believe, but Guam might be the Spam capital of the world.
