I have a lot of basil in my garden. Maybe I'll make pesto from scratch. Over linguini.

Ooh, I have a bounty crop of basil, too, and I just took a crusty round of bread out of the oven. I'm thinking we'll have tomato & basil bruschetta and gazpacho for dinner. Thanks for the inspiration!

I think this evening we are going to a friend's restaurant and pick up something.
Tomorrow however is a very different story.
We have a friend who has a son who is 15 who has spent the last few days in the hospital going through Chemotherapy.
This son who is 15 whom I have not met has requested a home cooked meal. So our friend who does not cook well or much has asked if I would be willing to cook supper for his son and I gladly agreed so we will be having grilled chicken breast, grilled hamburgers, macaroni and cheese, peas, salad, fresh vegetables and a choice of Strawberry Banana Jello with Pineapple chunks in it, Pudding with cool whip on top or Frozen Yogurt.

Since it's raining here today, and 72 instead of the 102 due this weekend, I'm making chicken parm with spaghetti, big green salad with the fixin's, garlic bread, and ice tea. If I feel like it later, I may have some frozen greek yogurt (cherry Garcia)

Would you mind to share your bread recipe or direct me to it on CD? Thank you.
Blanch the basil and it will stay bright green.

You are truly a good friend to do this.
