SO is at what I call a play date:>) I did housewife insanity 101 - everything from Kohls to Dollar Tree. Four hours later I can start wrapping Christmas gifts and tucking the other loot away.
Tuna salad, homemade whole wheat rolls, cold beer.
I made the mini meatloafs with garlic mashed and rolls. Not too bad. Tonight I'm making burgers with that spice mixture I found on allrecipes and tater tots.
Tomorrow I'm attempting to make that top rated lasagna on allrecipes. I'll keep you guys posted as I've never tried this before
If that is the one from chef John then I have made it. I love the sauce but I like to double the ricotta mixture. I have made it for at least three Christmas Day dinner buffets I hold for my family. It goes over really good.
No lasagne for us tonight. Steak tacos though with all the usual suspects, lettuce, cheese, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo. To drink I bought some mead for me and the husband. I have never tried it but have been wanting to. Popcorn for after dinner because the kids asked for it again.
Trying something different tonight. First, chicken breasts are my favorite part of the chicken but there was a deal on Chipotle chicken thighs that I couldn't pass up.
Crockpot Chipotle chicken thighs, red beans & rice (another first trying Knorr's brand) and a simple salad (lettuce and tomatoes).
I'm making individual meatloafs for us. I usually make the normal log but it's too much for the two of us. So I bought a muffin pan and am going to make about 4-6 of them so we can have some tonight and some on Sunday for lunch and then they're gone!
I've recently started doing this, too. I don't use a mufin pan, but just shape them into individual portion sized loaves.
I love reading here. Always get lots of good ideas.
I had some frozen waffles in the freezer and it was time for them to go. They seemed a little dry around the edges. So I tore them up, fried a pound of breakfast sausage and mixed it and a cup of fresh blueberries in with the waffles and put it in a buttered cake pan.
Then I mixed up some eggs, milk, cinnamon, salt and maple syrup and poured it over the waffle mixture. I topped the whole thing with streusel.
It sounds good to me. Hope it turns out well and that the family likes it.

So, hubby and I were going to go out for a big lunch and a movie, but were delightfully interrupted by some friends on the way home from Florida, so only did the movie with a bucket of popcorn, which was fine. (St Vincent, with Bill Murray).
I'm making mashed potatoes (with leftovers for potato pancakes for breakfast), fried pork chops and sautéed zucchini. I usually bake pork chops, but I'm open to change, and I am sure it will be fine.

Still working on using up the food in the freezer and pantry prior to our move. I found a big hunk of sirloin steak, so I am making Swiss Steak, mashed potatoes, and sugar snap peas.

It is!!! Any other recommendations? I've read a bunch of reviews but everyone says something so different. I'm leaving the fennel out as well.
Marinated loin of pork, broccoli salad, baked Japanese yam.
