I omitted the cream, started the soup by sautéing some onion and garlic, and added a healthy dose of black pepper and jalapeño powder for some heat. Served with pepitas sprinkled on top.

We ate out at a nice Italian joint. We had pizza and pasta dishes and I had a Philly cheese steak that was awesome.

We are going to our semi annual wine tasting at our favorite wine store. It is a fund raiser for Lifeline. They do serve lots of snacks, thus dinner tonight will just be fish an chips (not much of either) and a little cold slaw. Oh yes, probably a bottle of todays wine purchase.
