Default Mystery meal

I don't know what you call 'em but whatever it is, they're good. I took a can of those Pillsbury crescent rolls and wrapped them around hot dogs. Baked in the oven for 12 minutes and served with mustard. Julia Childs, eat your heart out. Later, I plan on having some pineapple chunks.

Edit: After reading post #7994, I'm going to go and check my paypal account. I hope I haven't been hacked.

Chicken with a sauté express cube and some veggies. I never did make that lasagna so I'm going to do it Wed. BF wants to make it an event, lol. Cue the wine....

Even if "Jules" didn't eat her heart out -- she's dead, y'know -- I drooled. I really want a hot dog now. Wrapped in a crescent roll. But I'm too lazy to go out. And, besides, I've already eaten.

What did I have, you ask? (Or you didn't. Whatever. I'm telling you anyway.) About a month ago, I was walking down the frozen foods aisle in my grocery store, in search of my beloved ice cream sandwiches. (Ssssh! Don't judge.) I happened to see a FAMILY PACKAGE (it was HUGE!) of frozen (duh!) cabbage rolls, filled with pork (I'm such a bad Jew) and beef, and slathered in tomato sauce. What the hey, it's on sale. I'll buy it. I hadn't had a cabbage roll in a thousand years and, well, um, I didn't remember if I actually *like* cabbage rolls... but I bought it anyway. Tonight, a month or so later, I had a very busy day and wanted an easy meal. They took 90 minutes to bake (I should have planned ahead) so I got more busy stuff done while I waited. (Oh god, I hope I like cabbage rolls! I'm hungry!) The verdict: They were delicious. And not just because I was hungry. They were really, really good. That's fabulous, because there were, I think, 12 of them. Two down, 10 more to go!

My husband made an outstanding, Beer-Braised Beef with Potatoes and Cabbage.

Recipe November 2014 of Family Circle magazine. I mentioned that this sounded good. I got home from school and he had made it. Delicious.

Wendy's chicken sandwiches, with homemade "pumpkin" pie for dessert! (I used butternut squash instead of pumpkin.)
