The crust is my least favorite part of the pizza. I'll eat it last and sometimes I don't eat it at all. If it is really tasty and not all dried out, I'll save it and eat it after all of the 'good' stuff is gone.
I prefer eating my pizza with a knife and fork but I'll pick up a piece in a heartbeat if necessary.
Proper table manners? According to who? You? The table manners task force?
LoL
I go to my wife's country & half the time a meal isn't even served with silverware. You people would starve! LoL
It's pizza...get over it. If you want to use a K&F, that's ok...but shame on you for looking down your nose because someone wants to eat pizza with their hands.
Yeah...I certainly call that snobbish.
Yep, it reminds me of those stuffy English ladies who insist on using doing everything just right. Using the right fork, spoon, knife, no elbows on the table, blah blah blah, who even cares nowadays?

Kind of like all those people who look down their noses at anyone who wants to eat pizza with a K&F?
(Not referring specifically to you, just pointing out both sides)
I didn't said that I would look down at people eating food with their hands, but people eating food with utensils are not snobs. Like apexgds said - it goes both ways...

Well I personally did not say they were, some other posters did. I said that those who would kick out patrons who ate with their hands were snobs.
^^^ It's possible in first class restaurant, where certain manners and behaviour is expected.
Most of those places also expect their patrons to dress appropriately. That's how they maintain their status.

I think dress codes are getting less common in restaurants these days. I've ate at some of the most exclusive restaurants here and haven't had to dress up. Nor could I imagine them kicking me out if I decided to eschew cutlery for my hands. It's their right to do so, and it's also my right to take my business elsewhere.
I typically eat pizza like part of a pack of wolves. There's a local pizza place here that makes the best pizza I've ever eaten.
