I read every bit of every label and have for years.
My husband has diabetes and I have to know what the ingredients are along with the carbs, calories, sugar and fiber.

I check ingredients and the amount of sugar. If they add sugar I avoid it, this can be either HFCS or regular cane sugar doesn't make a difference to me.

Absolutely!

I look for fiber and protein, then sugar content. I hate things too sweet, and I don't do artificial sweeteners.

I just check the ingredients and how much sodium is in it.

We don't use a lot of prepared foods at my house, so I'm not buying much that has odd ingredients in it.

I avoid stuff high in sugar and/or salt. I also check ingredient label to see whats really in the product.

Amounts of fat, specifically saturated fat. Sugar, then sodium.

Then, if the list of ingredients is too long. Ever check same 2 things by different companies, one has 30 ingredients while the other has 6-7. I always choose the latter.
