Well, my silly jokes aside, I liked the drumsticks as a kid, but I started to really dislike the tendons and such tissue. Now I prefer the breast because it is pure solid meat. The flavor isn't that much different to me.

The skin is the best though, when it's fried crispy.

Of course, my mother stopped frying chicken when shake and bake came out, which wasn't quite as good.

Try a BLT with crispy chicken skin in place of the bacon - oh boy that's good.

I'm definitely a leg man. I prefer my chicken fried and dark meat.

I like breast and thigh

I will pretty much eat any piece so I let the people who have the pieces they want go first. Only thing I'm not really a fan of is wing, too small!

I ate the back too. I thought I was the only one! I don't eat backs anymore, though. Now I eat the wings. My mom fried check in a cast iron skillet. No restaurant chicken and no chicken I make tastes the same. She used Crisco. Does anyone use that anymore? Probably not.

What, exactly, is the "back?" When I break-down a chicken there is no meat on what is left - I even get the "oysters" with the thighs. Is there a particular way to break-down the chicken and leave meat on the back?

I suppose I can go look that up...

Man, I miss my mom's fried chicken.
I like dark meat so I liked the legs and thighs and mom went for the wings and breast.
Dad and sis didn't have any preference.
