Burger King has apple burgers (and cocktails) in Japan, and we’ve got them in our bellies

Even as someone who can always appreciate a tasty hamburger, there’s a quandary I face whenever I go out to satisfy my beef-based sandwich needs. Your standard burger gives you plenty of protein from the meat, some nice carbs from the bread, and even a scattering of veggies between the buns, but it’s hard to get your fruit fix at a burger emporium.

Scrapple is a mix of pork and buckwheat. It has no apples involved.

However, I wonder how a good hamburger would taste with a dab of Waldorf salad on the top.

They, (Burger King), have always put a goodly amount of tomato, which is fruit, on their burgers.

I like my burger the way they were meant to be: meat, onions, pickles lettuce and tomato and not too much of anything. Please leave the apples for my fruit or waldorf salad, thank you!!!

I like apple with pork, but don't think it is all that good a match with beef.

I have long made the contention that restaurants should integrate fruit into their entrees more regularly. I think a grilled apple on a burger sounds great. I also would like to see more fruit based sauces in dishes and sides which integrate fruits.

fyi, this has zero to do with any potential health considerations. I see fruit as no healthier than candy. its totally based on the deliciousness of fruit and how it can enhance entrees & appetizers and not just desserts and snacks.

I'm not too sure about apple on burger but I reckon it could work nicely with a chicken burger. However if you want to add fruit to a burger then pineapple is the obvious choice - Hawaiian burger
