I haven't done much baking since moving two years ago, so I don't have my regular stash of cookie supplies. I'm not in a place where I can just run to the store for something.

I have a recipe that uses a cup of semi-sweet chips and two squares of unsweetened chocolate. I have neither unsweetened chocolate nor cocoa powder on hand.

Any idea how it would turn out if I use all semi-sweet chips?

Sounds like you're making chocolate-chocolate chip cookies. They'll be fine. You'll just have regular chocolate chip cookies instead.

You might need to reduce the amount of sugar, which may or may not screw up the chemistry.

I decided not to try it, for just the reason you cited. I made plain old (and wonderful) chocolate chip, pecan, oatmeals cookies. I'll have to get some unsweetened chocolate now, since I have a craving for those Fudge Ecstasies.
