As far as odd cottage cheese uses go, I'm rather surprised to see people say they put it on toast or crackers. I've never considered it as a spread. I've always just eaten it in a bowl.

EDIT: I mean other fruit, haha. Tomatoes are a fruit, after all...
I saw something not long ago that said, "Knowledge is knowing tomatoes are a fruit. Wisdom is not adding tomatoes to a fruit salad."

I just did that. I'd bought some because I thought I'd eat that with fruit instead of ice cream (yes, ****-poor substitute, but I have to get some of this fat off of me). Then I forgot I bought it. Just looked at the expiration date, and it said March 6, but it was still sealed. I opened it, ate some, it tasted fine, and so far, I'm still alive.

Never heard of putting it on crackers or toast, either.

I don't like cottage cheese except for Easter cheese pascha. It's cottage cheese with butter, eggs, heavy cream, raisins, vanilla and candied fruit.

I have been eating cottage cheese for dinner for over 30 years. 2 hamburger patties on a plate with cottage cheese and peaches. Love it.

Cottage cheese on toast is my all time favorite, with crackers is another way I like it.

Mmm I love pascha! Best thing about the run-up to easter is that they sell it in the shops so I buy some almost every time I go shopping.
