I am still having withdrawls of the cherry kitkats they had out for valentines day. They need to sell them all the time. The same with Starbucks speciality holiday drinks.

No, but my husband does. He is WAY worse than I am about getting into what he refers to as "slopgullion". He likes the Sour Patch Kids, sour Gummy worms, and everything else.

As most of you know, we recently moved to a privately gated farm area. 4 houses, no kids,we are the only ones on a 20 acre island that are here full time.
So... no need to buy candy!? My son (17) doesn't eat candy. I don't need candy ! I will miss seeing the younger kids in thier costumes, and scaring the cr*p out of my sons friends. Maybe I buy some deer feed this year. Safe bet we won't eat that !
We are having a hard time adjusting to not decorating for the holidays. We usually go all out, but there is no one to see it! For Christmas we will decorate for ourselves and the deer. But will cut way back on outside decorations.

I think you should still decorate like you always did even if you're the only one who sees it. We decorate our house big time but no one sees it but us and we enjoy it. Do it for YOU!!!

Do the trees change color up there? Does it feel more like autumn? Then you definitely should decorate and experience it at least once in your new home. Then you can post a picture and share your decorations with all of us. I would love to see them!

grammy,
You are sooo sweet! Yes, the trees are just starting to turn.
One issue about decorating is, I still haven't found my Halloween box. I am still working on unpacking , decorating, and oraginzing the house.
But we will definately be decorating for Thanksgiving and Christmas !
Soon I will post some pictures of this beautiful place we found. Just what forum would I put them under?
