Rutabagas. I despise rutabagas.
Sugar cane. Haven't eaten those since Mule Day. Before 2000.
Calvary Lions Mule Day
Portabello mushrooms. They seem too expensive.
A lot of seafood. Too expensive for the cost per lb.
A lot of frozen dinners. Too much salt, fat, and a lot of weird ingredients. Usually for the price, you can buy the ingredients and have 4-10 meals. It may seem like you pay bit more. Nope. Cheaper to buy and make and freeze.

Haven't eaten at a Hardee's or Carl's Junior in more than a decade. Their service always seems slow.
Big sandwiches, slow service. I think my home made hamburgers are better for the price.

S.O.S.

I do love biscuits and sausage gravy though.

My old man makes some that is virtually identical to Bob Evans.

I hate S.O.S. though. Uncle Sam feeds you that crap all the time. Yuck!!

I have eaten mashed potatoes, french fries, scalloped potatoes and potatoes in soups and stews.

I have NOT had a baked potato in more than 25 years.

What? (Having just finished a delicious baked potato.) I have not had liverwurst in that many years or more. Had it as a kid, had it a lot in Germany, bought it a lot after we came back and have never had it since. Thought about it yesterday in the grocery store, but no.

It's not that I dislike baked potatoes, I just never crave them. I prefer rice, pasta and bread, that's all.

I read the subject before clicking and thought about rutabagas. I've never had them, personally, but my father hated them so much that they were forbidden in the house. I've never tried them or rhubarb which I've heard is just as awful.

My grandmothers were from the South so there were many foods my family made that I never cook (ie. chess pie, chitterlings, hog head cheese, pigs' feet, etc.). I like lemon pie with cream on top, but have never had meringue as an adult.

I enjoyed sugar cane from the local farmer in our area. I have never had it as an adult though.

Plain white rice. It has no taste, and no nutrition, so why bother? If it's fried at an Asian restaurant, though, that's another story ...

In 5 years, I have not eaten proper Kashmir naan. It tastes so good, but is very rare to find authentic Kashmir naan. Apparently, it has dried apples and cherries, both of which are famous in Kashmir Valley and Himachal during the summer.

The best Kashmir naan I have ever eaten was inside a warm inn at 15000 ft .

I love S.O.S. It's my go-to dinner when I can't think of anything else. It's cheap, easy, and good (but not that good for you). http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Cookboo..._beef_on_toast

One thing I haven't eaten in years is corned beef and cabbage. My husband loved it but i just burned out on fixing it and eating it. When St. Patrick's Day rolls around I even avoid looking at all the corned beef piled up at the grocery store. Disgusting.
