I don't equate healthy with fast food and the last time I was at a Mcdonalds I didn't equate food with what I got.
On the rare times that I do go to fast food places 3-4 times a year, I always get a kick when the obese person in front of me orders the big super sized fat burger and fries and a "diet coke" to wash it down.
If you are in a pinch go for the smallish burger like a junior whopper and don't super size.
The problem with Taco Bell is well over half the menu has GMO corn fried in GMO canola. Unfortunately though, most independent taco stands/Mexican food restaurants use GMO corn too. I get a real craving for Mexican food sometimes but finding a place that avoids the GMO corn is very difficult. I accidentally consumed a fairly high quantity of GMO corn oil recently eating a bad of "healthy" puffed green beans. Could figure out why I felt ill both times I ate them until I realized about the GMO corn which I've been avoiding like the plague for a couple of years.
Subway is a great alternative to the burger/taco joints. Relatively easy to avoid GMOs and load up on a variety of veggies... they'll usually pile on things like green bell pepper, cucumber, red onion, etc if you ask them too and they do have some condiments that don't contain GMOs.
Haven't been to a McDonald's in several years. I do like their fish sandwich. And maybe two bites of fries to nibble on. But it isn't somewhere we would normally think to go except possibly on a road trip where there was no other choice.
KFC, on occasion. Maybe 3-4 times a year. The secret recipe doesn't seem as good as it did when I was a kid.
The others on the OP list we don't have any of those in our town. Even BK went out of business here about 10 years ago.
No one can prove GMO is "unhealthy" so ignore that. Also, how is a potato healthy? It's pure starch calories.
Wendy's chili is probably the best tasting fast-food there is that I'd consider "healthyish." Some places you can get grilled chicken and a salad (no croutons) and some type of lower cal dressing.
You can get a salad at subway - but eh.
Someone else mentioned combining ingredients into one bread - I wouldn't call it a great option but it's better than many others. Sometimes I've gotten a subway turkey or chicken sub and put all the ingredients on a 6" bread - reduce the amount of bread.
Generally, though - all of that food is trash. Try to find a grocery store for some fresher to-go items (or maybe even gas station) or a more "fast-casual" place such as Panera or Chipotle. But, remember - not everything at those places is healthy either - but you have more healthy options, such as a burrito bowl (no rice or tortilla).
Also, you can always grab beef jerky or some nuts at a gas station. Or, just fast instead of eating crap - humans don't have to eat every 2 hours (or even every 10) to survive.
My parents literally live on McDonalds food. So sometimes my kids and I end up eating there with them. I always eat a McDouble...390 calories, 33 carbs, and 23 grams of protein. Their grilled chicken snack wrap is another decent choice, 270 calories, 25 carbs and 16 grams of protein. I'm eating between 1000 and 1200 calories a day, and either of those meals fits within my diet and doesn't cause me to go over my calories for the day. I have to make sure that I get enough protein in the meal to balance out the number of carbs, so the yogurt parfait doesn't work for me.
I haven't really looked at what options at other fast food restaurants would work for me, since I don't eat fast food unless I'm with my parents, and they only eat McDonalds. (I do feed them real food whenever they come over, to try to balance out all that McDonalds.)
