Coke is the only soda I drink. If they had left it bland and too sweet, I wouldn't drink any soda at all now.

The "New Coke" was horrible. When it came out, Coke told us all that we would get used to it and there would be no going back. They changed their minds when they discovered that sales were horrible. When the new stuff came out, people were scrounging around for any remaining cans and bottles of the original Coke---even asking restaurants if they still had some around. I remember taking a plane ride (this was also back in the days when they fed you as part of the plane ticket price) and asking the flight attendant if they had any of the old stuff around. Of course they didn't.

My recollection is pretty much like everyone else's. Too sweet, watered down, and less carbonated.

Funny how those of us who tried it almost 30 years ago can still remember & describe it. I doubt many of us drank much of it then, either!

That's kind of vague as it sounds like a regular modern day Coke in a glass over ice.

Well I remember a new pepsi which I left drinking as its taste sucks but never heard about new Coke. If its already came and I didn't realize then its great. I am not going to leave coke either way. I love it.

The Diet Coke you buy today is still the same "new coke" formula but with artificial sweetner.
When New Coke changed back to Classic, Diet Coke remained "new".

Coke Zero is the diet version of Classic Coke.
Diet Coke is the diet version of New Coke.

I used to drink sodas a lot (unfortunately). I no doubt tried "new coke" whatever its name was. Like many people I preferred the real coca cola.

The best thing to do for yourself to extend your youth and longevity is to stop drinking any sugar water. Then go beyond that and eat fresh fruit instead of foods with added sugar or artificial sugar.

Yes Coca Cola and Pepsi seem to be as American as Apple Pie, but all three with added sugar or artificial sugar do much more harm than good.
