I don't know when I bought it but it was frozen at the time and the sell by date is May 2015, It weighs 5.7 lbs. It has been frozen solid since and frankly I just forgot about it. I'm sure it was on sale and I'd hate to waste it.

Geez.... it was frozen when you bought it, it's still frozen since...
Frozen foods remain safe indefinitely!

You'll be able to smell if its bad, when its cooking, anyway.

Probably the worst thing that could happen would be freezer burn, but if it was frozen when you put it in your freezer, it should be good to go.

A few years ago, a wooly mammoth was discovered frozen somewhere in northern Europe. After they dug it out, one of the scientists cut off a part and cooked it and ate it. He didn't like the flavour very much, if I recall correctly, but he lived.

Just sayin'.
