I keep frozen homemade veggie burgers, meatloaf, homemade salami, roasted tomato sauce, frozen stuffed peppers, lasagna etc and pop them in when I don't want to cook. Or I put meat sauce in the crock pot, or lentil stew, salsa chicken and serve with rice and beans.

I am allergic to some preservatives and many take out fast food meals are not worth the price, or headaches so I make my own convenience foods.

Yeah, my answers are for just myself, or for me and my husband. If you're in charge of preparing a meal for a group/family with kids, anything you prep is going to take time. Even if you're just sitting the fam down to some cold cut sandwiches and chips. Making a family-sized meal is usually time-consuming, no matter what, unless the kids in question are old enough to handle a build-your-own situation. I grew up in a household of six, and even a "simple" meal of scrambled eggs was time-consuming when you're prepping and scrambling them for that many. Mixing up an extra large bowl of tuna salad, etc. takes time, etc.

Gee, I'd have thought y'all would list your favorite places for carry-out, like Taco Bell and Little Caesar's or even McD's. I guess you have more ambition than I do.
