HFCS is used because it is cheap to make. Just don't eat (any) type of sugar a lot and you should be fine.

Default just do the research

Its all there, my common sense tells me to eat natural butter, sugar, you can't fool mother nature, this is why plastic surgery does not work the human eye knows somethings messed up here. moderation of the real thing.

Sugar is sugar. What difference does it make? I try to avoid any kind of added sugar, but I don't obsess about it.

I am not convinced they are exactly the same (I can taste/feel the difference between Coke with sugar and Coke with HFCS, so if my internal processes treat it differently I would not be surprised). But I think it is the fact that sugar or HFCS is in so many things that you would never think of is much of the problem. Lots of foods, including things with "healthy" labels on them like low fat and whatnot are still packed with sugars.

I use Sodastream, whose syrups contain no HFCS, but if you want
a good can of pop without it, I recommend the Whole Foods 365 brand.

You can also taste the difference between white sugar and brown sugar, honey and cane sugar, but it's still sugar, and your body processes it the same way.

The Coca Cola imported from Mexico is sweetened with cane sugar, unlike the Coke sold here. You can taste the difference.
