Thanks for that 60's video. But it did bring up a good point on how the owner of that coffee shops was
losing money. Found this article about today:

My hometown had an old style coffee shop -- Mr. Foxy's. It had a big counter and a few small, uncomfortable tables I never sat at. It was run by a Greek family -- Big Nick and Little Nick were usually the cooks. Little Nick made a better patty melt, but Big Nick was the better cook over all.

I remember going to such a place at Brookhaven Airport in Long Island (NY) in the 1990s.

We still have a few but its hard to produce enough revenues how days by only serving breakfast and lunch. More often I see more and more only serve lunch and dinner. Being a child of the 50's one big factor is in most places there were very few places to eat out then. One coffee shop was coon then as was one bakery shop serving fresh bread and closed by noon.most middle income family then only eat out on special occasions then.
