MMM White Castle is delicious! Actually you can make thanksgiving turkey stuffing which tastes like the kind my grandmother made, but you remove the pickles. Its melt in your mouth steamed buns and a real thin piece of meat with grilled onions, it does not taste greasy to me, though they probably use a bit of grease to cook it, but they say it is steamed, so i dont know, all i know is it kinda melts in your mouth. along with a side of fries best fast food evah! its the flavor of the onions and steamed bun that adds the flavor!
Hey now, don't go dissing Arby's. Although I haven't had one in years (veggie now), I grew up eating Arby's roast beef sandwiches with horseradish sauce. Yum!
Just about half of those I would not personally classify as "fast food."
You might not, but they're widely considered fast food. They might be dressed up a little, they may not have a Dollar Value Menu, but it's still fast counter service.
Whatever you say. Maybe messing with food that's hittin' makes sense to you.
It made sense to me, even though personally I had never heard those phrases used before. In context, it was perfectly easy to understand - and it was also sort of cute and funny.
But maybe I just have fabulous powers of deduction, who knows.
I would classify them all as fast food. They may not be dirt cheap, but you're still ordering from a counter and getting your food relatively quickly.
So any place with counter service is fast food? I sit at a counter at a local diner for dinner frequently. Does that make it fast food? I've also ordered food from a counter at a restaurant that offers things like chicken French, chicken parm, meatloaf, quiche, etc. Waiting a half an hour for your food certainly isn't fast!

Not if someone is waiting on you (bringing your food, refilling your drink, clearing your dishes, bringing your check, processing your check, etc).

Does this restaurant also have table service as described above? If so, it's not fast food.
Fast food typically is where you go to a counter to order, pay for, and receive your food, then walk away (either to a table, or out of the restaurant). A restaurant with primarily table service that also has a to-go counter/desk isn't fast food.
