My son is deathly allergic to 3 of those- treenuts, fish and shellfish.

We bought a new brand of yogurt and THANK GOD my 14 year old read the label as it contained Tilapia. My wife and I wouldn't have thought in a million years fish product would be used in yogurt. Thankfully my son is very cautious and takes great care with what he ingests.

We would have felt horrible had he needed to be rushed to the ER because we failed to read a yogurt label.

Yea, gelatinous sludge from Chinese fish farm Talapia raised in toxic waste! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I hear they make a good backyard fish because they will thrive on garbage and can live in a plastic barrel.

I don't eat yogurt often, but I have a seafood allergy. Never in a million years would it occur to me that there could be fish products in yogurt! Next time I buy yogurt, I'll be sure to read the labels carefully.

I also once saw peanut butter that had omega-3 fish oil.

I will have to check my milk carton to see if there is a warning label for containing milk.

Here is something else you may not realize is in some of your yogurts.

Dannon Yogurt

When you buy one of the berry types for example strawberry the red coloring is not coming from the fruit but from crushed insects.

People didn't want the red food dye, so they decided to go with something more natural. Mmmm.... beetles.

But to be fair it has been used as a natural dye since at least the 15th century. And Dannon is far from the only company using it.

You are right. I shouldn't have made it sound as though Dannon was the only one.

Eating insects is not something unheard of but I just thought it was interesting how much we are fooled by what is in the food we eat. I always thought the red came from the strawberries. Who knew ?????
