Dinner went well. Only issue I had was the Turley didn't get deep golden brown. This is what my hubby likes to see. I had to turn on the broiler.
Other than that the dry brine and stuffing the turkey cavity with limes halves, quartered onions, whole head of garlic cut in half made the turkey really flavorful. Will try that again.
Cornish hens with a cornbread stuffing
Honey-glazed ham with brown sugar and pineapple
Mustard greens with turnips and green onions
Cornbread
Mashed potatoes
Gravy
Cranberry salad
Pumpkin pie
Actually everything is homemade- we don't allow store bought anything on Turkey Day
Do you make your own chocolate chips from scratch (i.e., pulling the beans off the tree, etc.) or are they store bought?
