Nothing new. I can only recommend extending the time for garlic to about 45 seconds. Be prepared for a revised version of the "Bing Bang Theory":>)

I've always used my microwave for cooking many things; not just for reheating stuff and popping popcorn. I use the stove or oven more often than the microwave for cooking main dishes, but I've had excellent success cooking fish, chicken and pork chops in the microwave. It's a great way to steam fish, and chix and pork chops come out very tender and juicy. They don't look quite as nice as something that's been browned in a skillet or in the oven, but they taste just as good.

Also, I frequently cook vegetables in the microwave. I have a silicone container with a lid and tiny vent holes which is perfect for steaming fresh veggies. I cooked some Brussels sprouts that way last night, and they were fab.

11. Eliminate the mystery of the microwave safe mug.

I've never read that one before, I think. But wait, maybe I have.
