I wish I could make these at home. Nothing like them.

I hate ice cream!

Years ago my father worked for an ice cream plant and used to bring home drums of the stuff. I've had enough ice cream for a lifetime, thank you.

I love apple pie though, just no ice cream on top.

I must be the only person in the world who doesn't like cookies and brownies and such "fresh out of the oven." I make everything from scratch, and frankly, these things taste better to me several hours to a day later, after the flavors have had time to develop. I like my cake better the next day as well. I'd much rather have it a little drier. "Moist" cake to me suggests chemicals and preservatives.

I like dry cake too. I usually scrape the frosting off and throw it away. I like the consistency of the little Debbie devil cakes (cream scraped off), dry and compact.

I see two egregious flaws with this thread:

Why would you assume that ice cream is anyone's "favorite sweet treat"?

Why are the poll choices limited to pies, cakes, etc.? Surely the OP is aware that not all "sweet treats" are baked, and that those that are not baked are not necessarily ice cream?

*smh*

Ice cream is enjoyable, especially on a hot day, but I always noticed that after the first few bites I don't even really notice the flavor anymore - it's just cold and creamy, and you just finish the rest of the scoop or serving. The first two bites are the best.

YES, custard is another favorite! Custard pie and around this time of year eggnog custard pie. I don't know how to make it but I had it a few times and it was delicious. Eggnog is one of those flavors that takes you back in time, especially to when you were a child - it just tastes like Christmas.
