Crumb topping. Whether it comes to making it or eating it, crumb topping.

Just make sure they're PITA sandwiches and you should be OK.

My mother was a great baker and she used to make the two-crust type; but over the decades my preference has changed to the crumb topping. But either one is great.

Crumb topping is too greasy. Prefer the other.

Greasy? What kind of crumb toppings have you eaten? I had to ask as greasy is the last thing I would think of when it comes to crumb topping.

I love the crumb topping even on cherry pie. We always called what you made a Dutch apple pie and topped it with vanilla ice cream or homemade whipped cream. I'm sure your pie will be delicious.

We roll out crumb bread cake like a pizza pie (thin) put apples on top, sprinkle spices (Cinnamon) on top of apples, then put sour cream on top, and then sugar on the sour cream, then bake like that.
