for lunch I got a good idea from Almarauch....and I am turning some leftover sweet and sour red cabbage and apple, into a soup....it will be good I know the original version of the sweet and sour cabbage was a knock out....so added beef broth to thin it and some left over shoe string carrots that also had to be used up. Looking forward to it.
Supper for my DP will be a rib eye steak and for me....(diet) a patty of ground chicken. whoop di doo
Well, I didn't have time to make the chocolate raspberry pie last night after all since I had to do major grocery shopping after work (hubby's dinner may end up in a red plastic dog dish on the kitchen floor). However, if I decide to forgive him, tonight we are having baked Monterey chicken with roasted vegetables, sour cream yeast rolls and lemon meringue muffins for dessert.
I have some bone-in chicken thighs (at least I think they're thighs) that I'm still trying to figure out what to do with. Maybe slow cooked on the bbq? I may make a quick potato salad or just do a potato packet on the grill, too. Some asparagus and broccoli to go with it. If there's anything for dessert it'll be a few Dove chocolates for me from my V-Day stash after everyone else is in bed
A staple here, something we have every couple of weeks. Browned sweet and hot sausages then baked with red, green peppers; vidalia onion s/p and a few garlic cloves crushed. With steamed asparagus on the side.
I'll have mine sub style. The first day in a LONG time it felt liked spring!
Spaghetti with leftover gravy with meatballs and pork chops that have disintegrated into a hearty meat sauce. Garlic bread. Unsweetened iced tea to drink.
