I really felt like Indian food tonight, but I wasn't in the mood to go out to dinner. Chilly and nasty out there.
So I scoured the internet and did a little shopping at a local specialty store.
Making a warming carrot ginger soup, green pea samosas served with tamarind chutney, and an Indian cabbage chana dal - finely chopped cabbage, tomatoes,cucumber, carrots, mint and yellow chana dal.
Tonite was a "clean out the fridge, getting ready to travel for a while" kind of night....mix and match (or not so much) using those things up that would have gone south while we were gone.....as long as it is paired with a good bottle of wine, it can be QUITE enjoyable! LOL
