The heat-wave continues, and the urge not to cook continues along with it.

Dinner tonight: sourdough french bread & brie, granny smith apple slices, and corn on the cob and/or garlicky brussels sprouts. My money is on the corn right now. Helloooooooo, carb city!

Ended up just having a frozen pizza last night, after a Mexican lunch; wow, not all that healthy, but sure was fun and easy. Cleaning up the kitchen was a breeze, just washed off a couple of forks, and washed out the pizza pan, we used paper plates. We were so tired, I am glad I didn't try to do anything else. Tonight I am making up for it: home cooked buffalo wings, green beans, fresh corn on the cob and carrot/crasin salad.

Hubby is craving roasted beets and carrots, so we'll have that with mashed potatoes and lamb chops.

You bet! I had corn fritters, ham balls, sweet n sour beets, Dutch style stewed tomatoes, potatoes and sausage, broiled steak (rare) with mushrooms, fried shrimp, and PA Dutch potato filling with gravy. Topped off with two pieces of pie alamode: peach and blueberry.
