The leftover slices of pepperoni pizza from lunch plus a green salad with a creamy dressing of some kind.

Last night's dinner was my mom's famous Pennsylvania Dutch turkey pot pie...a tradition the day after Thanksgiving. I had three helpings. It is Pennsylvania Dutch homemade "bot boi" noodles, potatoes, carrots, celery, and onions simmered in the turkey broth, with meat from the turkey carcass chopped up and added after the noodles are cooked. It's the best thing about Thanksgiving!!!! It was confusing to DH when he had it for the first time, 35 years ago...when I said "turkey pot pie", he thought I meant a turkey "pie", with the crust, etc. Pennsylvania Dutch make it different.

Wow, what a delicious smell when we all came home to find it simmering in the kitchen! We spent the afternoon at "Roadside America", in Shartlesville, PA (my grandson is CRAZY about model trains). It's the greatest miniature train village in the world, and worth a see if you are ever in the area (sorry, off topic).

Tonight we are probably having the BEST EVER cheese steaks from V & S Sandwich Shop on Perkiomen Avenue in Reiffton, PA. Oldest daughter, the vegetarian, will have one of their eggplant parm sandwiches, which are also delicious.

Never heard of bot boi before but found a website that's where the term pot pie comes from. Always wondered why it was a pot pie because it was not cookd in a pot. LOL This looks delicious.

Orange chicken if I can find a recipe. The orange juice expires in the next few days, so I have to use it up now.
