The Pennsylvania Dutch are descendants of German immigrants who spoke a few varieties of related dialects from a part of southwestern Germany called the Palatinate (Pfalz). They can be of a variety of religions such as Lutheran, Reformed, Mennonite, and even Amish. So while the Amish are Pennsylvania Dutch, By no means are all Pennsylvania Dutch followers of the Amish religion.
