What new foods/drinks have you tried recently? (beer, restaurant, grilled)

I'm big on trying new foods and beverages, so here's a thread dedicated to new foods you've tried lately and your thoughts on it.

I tried sherry for the first time tonight...and I almost retched right there in the restaurant. It tasted like pure raisin syrup or something. Way waaaaaaaay too SWEET.

met up with some vegan friends and tried out some vegan middle eastern fare, it just didn't do it for me at all- I like my wraps with a bit of grilled lamb and the vegan scotch egg (ok I have no idea why scotch egg was on an Israeli middle eastern place's menu) - just wasn't...

Went to an Indian restaurant and tried samosas for the first time. I’m in love!

Went to the beer expo this past weekend. Had a coconut coffee brownie stout. My goodness it was yummy!
