KFC tests sweet edible coffee cup in U.K.

No need to order dessert with this cup of coffee coming to KFC.

The cup IS the dessert.

The 100% edible cup is made from a special, wafer-like biscuit, then wrapped in sugar paper and lined with a layer of heat-resistant white chocolate.

I have to wonder what it is that makes the chocolate heat resistant . . . sounds potentially toxic to me.

Coffee already is unhealthy, though, so I guess that wouldn't matter to those who would purchase it.

Is coffee unhealthy? Did I miss the memo? I think it is the stuff that is put into the coffee that makes it unhealthy.

This sounds pretty neat and I would give it a try. The UK is a good place ot test it, they do love their sweets.

Ha! They totally ripped off Dominique Ansel's "Cookie Shot." Ansel is the creator of the cronut too. Sure, the Cookie Shot was for milk, but the concept is the same.

This is from March of last year:

How? It'll surely have to be served in a paper sleeve.

I'll pass. But I don't have a sweet tooth. The most I'll do are those chocolate dipped spoons which I stir in my mocha latte when they give me free ones at the bookstore.

But it's a neat concept.
