I went to my friends/coworkers house to pick him up to go and play golf.
His sister kept asking me if I wanted to eat their food after I'd already declined.
I explained what happened several times to the CD community and some of them don't seem to understand that it's not OK to force their friendship/food on people.
Now, I'm off to get a relaxing massage from a very nice middle aged woman who's about 15 years my senior who has very soft hands and a very caring touch. Lord knows that I need it after this discussion!
Why are you telling us about your masseuse's age and hand softness? But yeah I hope the massage does good things for you.
That picture of the man rubbing his stomach symbolizes hunger and anticipation for food. PAT your stomach when you're full. Update the manual for your next social interaction involving food.

This thread has evolved into people talking about antisocial behaviors, in part because of my mentioning coworkers inviting me over to eat with their group, when obviously I'm trying to be alone. I was simply stating that there's more people who are "antisocial" (not that, that word means anything anymore) than you guys think.
So you consider your coworkers to be strangers? The thread you linked to was about people who don't always like having to engage in small talk with strangers. That it not antisocial behavior. You on the other hand want to go to someone's house and go sit on their couch all alone and not be bothered by the people whose house you are in. Or you get offended when people try to be polite and offer you food.

I rubbed my stomach (with one hand, not two) because that's the universal gesture for being full.

No, I didn't want to come in and sit on anyone's couch. His golf shirt was still drying and it had about 15 minutes left from what he told me. When I knocked on the door so we could go, he told me he wasn't ready yet, invited me in, and asked me to have a seat on the couch. Do you think that it was his idea to have his sister come in and ask me for something to eat?
